About Paige Chance…
Paige Chance is a ceramic artist and educator living and creating in Guthrie, Oklahoma. She has been producing ceramic tableware and decorative objects since 2020 while teaching ceramics from various Oklahoma City studios.
She graduated with a BA in Philosophy + Architecture before deciding to start a career in ceramics, later pursuing a MPS in Business of Art + Design. Working with clay quickly became a natural answer, as she was seeking a more tactile, grounding and creative way of life.
Paige employs a broad range of skills to realize her craft, alternating between hand-built and wheel-thrown forms informed by her local landscape and the 100-year-old milk house where she works.
About MiLK HOUSE CRMX…
MiLK HOUSE CRMX is the creative expression of Paige Chance - named after her home studio, a thoughtfully restored milk house originating from the 1920s.
Using traditional hand-building and wheel-throwing techniques, Paige produces sculptural and functional vessels with a rustic and earthy elegance.
Each piece is handcrafted with patience, intention and care and inspired by the forms and textures she finds in nature.
I look forward to opening up MiLK HOUSE CRMX to the public for workshops, classes, and events in 2025!
About MiLK HOUSE Restoration…
In October 2023, Paige was nominated as the Paseo FEAST grant recipient. Paige used her grant from the Paseo Arts Association to restore a 100-year-old milk house on her rural property in Guthrie, OK. From 2023 - 2024 she has been working diligently in thoughtfully restoring a piece of Oklahoma history into a functional ceramics studio for the community to enjoy.
